Back in December, fans were treated to the new Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React "Cactus Jack" – it was wavy, bright and unlike other Nike silhouettes – but now, it’s been revealed that this covetable collab wasn’t just a one-time thing, it’s actually a new silhouette named the Nike Air Max 270 React ENG.
A second draft of the coveted AM270R, it takes the original design and elevates it with more contemporary details and brighter colourways – and so the Nike Air Max 270 React ENG "Laser Blue" and "Eggplant" were born.
The “Laser Blue” colourway is sickly sweet, with yellow, pink, blue and peach all working together to deliver a sneaker that’s impossible to miss. The “Eggplant” hued sneaker gives off a comic-book joker vibe with deep purple and neon green details in psychedelic wavy lines.
Where Nike’s world-famous Swoosh usually takes centre stage, on the Nike Air Max 270 React ENG, it’s smaller and humbler. Featuring on the toe as well as the side, the main branding can be found on the tongue. The lower half of the shoe remains the same – it’s fitted with a React insole that cushions the food and an Air unit that delivers on bounce. Easy to wear all day every day, these sneakers are undeniably comfortable.
Due to drop on the 16th January on SNEAKRS Japan, the Nike Air Max 270 React ENG will be heading to the UK soon, so keep it locked into The Sole Supplier to be the first to know when you’ll be able to cop.
