No stranger to marking special occasions, Nike has unveiled a limited-edition Air Max 90 to celebrate Latinx heritage month, aptly titled the AM90 “LHM”. Latinx refers to people of Latin American cultural or ethnic identity in the USA, and there’s plenty of references across these sneakers that make them an absolute must have to spice up your rotation! They’re decked out in vibrant patterns too so without further ado, let’s jump in for a closer look.
Crafted from durable canvas and leather panels, the uppers showcase crazy graphics made up of plenty of different colours, said to be inspired by ‘90s goalkeeper kits. Black mudguards contrast this patterning while Nike Swoosh logos are of course present across both the lateral and medial sides.
The word “Familia” features across the sneakers in multiple places, once again focusing on the deep family bond that’s present in Latino culture. Nike Air branding that would normally appear on the tongues of an AM90 is instead swapped out for CLA branding, which represents a fictional football team. This all sits on top of a visible Nike Air Max unit that’s encased within a white midsole, while a speckled black and dusty blue outsole completes the look.
If you’re already eyeing up the Nike Air Max 90 “LHM”, then the good news is that the pair is scheduled for launch on the 29th September, so make sure you’ve got the date locked and and stay right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest launch updates as they happen!
