The Nike Día De Muertos 2021 Collection Is Unveiled

To celebrate Día De Muertos (the Mexican celebration of life and death) Nike has just fully unveiled a collaborative capsule that consists of both sneakers and apparel. The brand is no stranger to celebrating holidays, as even last year we saw a special edition release to mark the date. Sneaker options this year consist of both an Air Jordan 1 Mid and an Air Force 1 Low, while apparel ranges from T-shirts all the way through to jackets.

The collection is inspired by the concept of Mictlán, which is a journey of nine levels that celebrates the power of family connections. First up is the Air Force 1, which is crafted from both supple leather and jewelled canvas, along with a plush velvet lining. Swoosh logos adorn both sides and the look is finished off with a neat white midsole.

Following closely behind is a fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 Mid that’s just as wild. A red, black and white colourway is placed on top of textured suede upper, while modified Swooshes and tooth overlays transform the look of the legendary silhouette. Limited-edition branding resides at the tongues while a white and red sole unit conceals all the cushioning you might need.
