The Beaverton brand is placing a larger focus on the Dunk High this season, and the Nike Dunk High EMB "Court Purple" is one of the pairs to watch out for. While some sneakers take a tiny little bit of inspiration from the Los Angeles Lakers, this one makes it very obvious that they're paying homage to the legendary basketball team - and we're taking our first look!
Working on a black canvas base, "Court Purple" leather panels gently wrap around the shoe for a luxurious aesthetic. This is then accented by "Opti Yellow" accents along the Swooshes that give it that unmistakably Lakers vibe. Basketball graphics are stitched onto the tongue to bring the silhouette back to its roots, and the heel is decorated with a subtle yet striking pull tab that's become synonymous to the Dunk High.
Down below, you'll find a crisp white midsole for comfort and cushioning that knows no bounds, and of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the "Nike" branding that's embossed onto the heel (hence the acronym "EMB"). This is done up in a style that perfectly mimics the LA Lakers logo.
Whether you love the silhouette or you're a hardcore fan of the Lakers, the Nike Dunk High EMB "Lakers" is a definite must cop! Expected to drop at the end of the month on April 29th, let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at 2021's fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing"!
