Nike making high-end running sneakers is nothing new, after all, the legendary brand was founded by two runners who shared a passion for the sport. While the label’s ZoomX series has been around for several years now and has dominated the competitive distance running scene, the Swoosh brand has just debuted the Nike ZoomX StreakFly that’s designed specifically for shorter distances. Created with 5km and 10km races in mind, the pair offers a shorter midfoot Pebax plate, meaning a lot more ZoomX cushioning can be embedded underfoot.
Nike Running Footwear Product Manager Elliott Heath stated that the shorter plate allows for “more control and a more aggressive feel”, meaning these are ideal for the high-impact intensity of the distances they’re designed for. If you’re looking to get your hands on this brand-new pair of runners, the OG colourway seen here is set for a February launch while other colourways will follow later in the year, so keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest as it’s unveiled. In the meantime be sure to check out the rest of our site for stories like UNDERCOVER’s latest Nike collaboration!
