It was reported several months ago that the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 MCA would be launching this June. The release was thought to coincide with an event taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. With more images now surfacing online, it looks like those initial rumours could in fact be true!
The only confirmed image of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 'Blue' was revealed by Virgil Abloh. The Creative Director of Louis Vuitton and founder of Off-White revealed an on-foot look to his 3.9 million followers.
Fans will be quick to notice the similarities between this and last year's Musuem of Modern Art Exclusive. Just like that pair, a metallic silver Swoosh features to the sidewall, "AIR"; branding hits the midsole and a red coloured cable-tie is included. A deconstructed tongue and inner lining is also clearly visible.
Of course, the use of colour is entirely different. This is arguably way more appropriate for the summer months. Let's hope Virgil opts for a less limited launch this time around, although there's speculation that these will only release during an MCA event, this June.
It's not yet known whether the Off-White x AF1 Blue will get a wider release. For more alerts and updates, stay glued to The Sole Supplier app.
