The inspiration behind the Parley x adidas Alphaedge 4D ‘Aero Green’ won’t be lost on most sneakerheads. It’s easy to see the similarities with Daniel Arsham’s ultra-limited FUTURECRAFT 4D.
Just like that pair, which was a near impossible cop, this latest contemporary model sports an entirely tonal colourway. It’s coming soon in limited quantities – but thankfully, not quite as limited as that Arsham 4D!
“Spinning the problem into a solution. The threat into a thread.” That’s the idea behind adidas’s ongoing collaboration with Parley. Through an innovative process, the Three Stipes are taking that marine plastic waste and recycling it into usable footwear.
The Parley x adidas Alphaedge 4D is the latest in a long line-up of ocean plastic crafted footwear. The only difference compared with the earlier styles lies with that midsole underfoot. Unlike the conventional Boost, this pair sports a 4D midsole, engineered with Digital Light Synthesis. It looks especially striking in the OG shade of Aero Green.
Soft Primeknit uppers feature in a matching colourway with an ultra-adaptive fit to compliment the support from that lattice-structure midsole.
The Parley x Alphaedge joins two other colourways launching on Friday, 31st May. Take a look at the full collection and stay tuned for more updates on the run up to launch.
