The Platform adidas x Gucci Gazelle "Mesa" Proves the Sky's the Limit For Sneaker Collabs

Easily the collab of the year, adidas and Gucci got everyone talking when they previewed their collaborative collection at Milan Fashion Week in February. Part of the Three Stripes’ new foray into the high-fashion world, the collection marked its partnership with luxury conglomerate Kering Group, which later saw the brand collab with Balenciaga too. The initial collection featured over 60 looks that were inspired by retro sportswear styles, and also included a number of adidas Gazelle colourways.

Following the initial release, adidas and Alessandro Michele are back to drop a wider run of the designer’s favourite silhouette. Alongside some of the previously revealed colourways, including the super clean-white leather and logo-heavy monogrammed iterations, the pairing has revealed an exaggerated, platform version of the model, too.

The platform Gucci x adidas Gazelle "Mesa" features a monogrammed canvas upper and blue-toned leather accents, as well as the chunky platform sole that sees the shoe get heightened four times over. In true Gucci style, each layer comes painted in a different colour – white, orange, yellow and blue – keeping the pair in line with the rest of the colourful collection.

The adidas x Gucci Platform Gazelle is set to drop alongside the other pairs at adidas on July 28th, so be sure to hit the release reminders to get notified as soon as they’re available!
