The Rich Paul x New Balance 550 Launches This Week

As we draw closer to the end of 2021, New Balance is showing absolutely no sign of slowing down as it has freshly unveiled a brand-new collaborative project in the form of the Rich Paul x New Balance 550 “Cream”. If you’re unfamiliar with Rich Paul, he’s well-known in the sports entertainment industry for being LeBron James' agent, as well as founding his very own agency Klutch sports.

It only made sense for Paul to work on the 550, a retro-styled basketball silhouette that’s been enjoying an increase in popularity as of late. Said to be inspired by chasing dreams and blazing your own path, the sneakers are decked out in a beautifully vintage-inspired cream colourway, with hits of baby-blue and aged-yellow completing the gorgeous colour scheme.

The sneakers are crafted from premium leather across the uppers for another retro nod, with New Balance’s iconic N logo and 550 branding adorning both the lateral and medial sides. Rich Paul branding is placed on the tongues, while dual-branded insoles once again point to the collaborative nature of this release. An aged-white midsole completes the look and conceals plenty of cushioning, while the pair come complete with a special-edition box that will please the collectors amongst us.
