If you're looking for a pair of sneakers to handle concrete jungles and, well, actual jungles, look no further than the Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape. A new take on an old classic, the Swoosh have a wealth of knowledge creating utilitarian silhouettes. From ACG to ISPA, you can trust them to rework the AM90 in a way that's extremely rugged yet impeccably tasteful. For our latest Edit, we'll be taking a deep dive into two of the most popular Terrascape colourways.
Without a shadow of a doubt, the most popular Terrascape is the "Rattan" followed by the "Black". Very versatile and ready for anything, these drop the usual all-leather construction in favour of something a little more adventurous. Working on top of a ripstop nylon base with translucent rubber elements throughout, a healthy layer of supple suede wraps around the mudguards of each sneaker for added luxury.
A Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial sides of the Air Max 90s, and interestingly, it extends way passed the heel and joins in harmony to form a convenient pull tab. An oversized tongue tab adds to the outdoorsy aesthetic, and this is stitched with "Terrascape" branding in the Space Hippie font, nodding to the special silhouette's sustainable features that we'll talk a little bit about now.
Shifting your focus down below, you'll find the classic Nike Air midsole housed within a slightly see-through unit. If you look closely, you'll also find that it's infused with Crater Foam which is made up of recycled materials. This is one of the many steps that the Beaverton brand are taking for their 'Move To Zero' campaign.
Whether it's city slicking or jungle running, the Nike Air Max 90 Terrascape is prepared for anything. Secure your size right now over at Nike UK, and while you're here, make sure you celebrate Nike's 50th anniversary with these members-only surprises!
