The Stüssy x Nike Air Force 1 Collection Finally Has a Release Date

In case you hadn’t heard the news, Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 silhouette is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, and therefore the style has been a firm focus for a number of special-edition releases and collaborations. Recently, it was revealed that one of these collections would be with frequent collaborator, Stüssy, and the resulting pairs are some of the most anticipated iterations to date. Joining forces once more for a couple of takes on the style, the Nike x Stüssy Air Force 1 Mid collection finally has a release date, so read on to find out more.

Arriving in three colourways, “Fossil,” “Black/White” and “Black,” the Stüssy x Nike AF1 collection uses the mid-cut version of the sneaker for a canvas, and reconstructs the pairs in luxe tumbled leather, faux snakeskin and hemp. The latter makes up the base of the “Fossil” pair, which arrives in a natural colour and is basically a mid-cut version of the previous Stüssy x Nike AF1 Low collab.

Both the “Black” and “Black/White” utilise leather for the base, the “Black” arriving in a smooth texture and the “Black/White” in a tumbled finish. The “Black” pair sees an all-black upper sit atop a white sole, whilst a faux snakeskin Swoosh shoots across the sidewalls, whilst the “Black/White” version is colour blocked with black and white panels. Both leather pairs see a perforated “S” logo at the toe box, jeweled embellishments at the heels and an embroidered logo at the ankle strap.

The Stüssy x Nike Air Force 1 Mid collection and accompanying apparel is set to release on May 13th at Stüssy, with a Nike SNKRS release to follow soon. Be sure to hit the release reminders for your best chance of copping, as these will always sell out fast!
