Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER label is no stranger to a Nike collaboration, having offered up plenty of reworked Swoosh silhouettes over the years. During the Japanese label’s SS22 runway show, models were spotted wearing a never-before-seen collaborative take on the Air Force 1, a model yet to be worked on by UNDERCOVER. Campaign imagery from the brand itself has now landed too, meaning we’ve got a closer look and more information!
Said to be inspired by the Nike ACG Air Revaderchi, a silhouette that launched back in 1992, the UNDERCOVER x Nike AF1 pack showcases techwear vibes throughout, with the silhouette set to launch in three different colourways. Retro stylings feature on the “Grey/Magenta” variation, along with classic AF1 style on the “Triple White” pair and some creative flair across a graphic-print edition.
The pairs look to be crafted from premium leather throughout, with neoprene sock-like sections around the ankles for a modern addition. The techwear look is backed up once again with supportive technology placed at the heel that also secures the laces in place. They also come complete with UNDERCOVER branding on the tongues and heels and of course Nike Swoosh logos on both the lateral and medial sides.
If you’re as keen as we are to know more regarding the UNDERCOVER x Nike Air Force 1 collection then you’ll have to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier until more is announced, as rest assured we’ll be the first to let you know. In the meantime, be sure to check out your first look at the Cactus Jack x Dior sneakers that have just been unveiled!
