Back in 2018, Chris Gibbs unleashed the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG in two colourways including the "Black Toe" and the "Blue Toe". Now, as we head towards the coveted collaboration's 4th birthday, we're taking our very first look at the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG "Chicago", and honestly, it's pretty close to perfection.
Unveiled by sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, this never-before-seen ULA Air Jordan 1 takes inspiration from the legendary "Chicago" colourway that really kickstarted it all. With a pre-worn look that's surprisingly all the rage these days, the pebbled leather has been done up with a vintage finish, while the Swoosh along the lateral and medial side panels is decorated with retro markings that make these look like they've been pulled straight out of the archives.

Unlike the original however, the ankle is painted in a "Neutral Grey". A "UN/LA" tag is finely stitched onto the collar, while the Nike Air midsole has been given a yellowed finish for an old school vibe that we absolutely love.
According to @zsneakerheadz, the Union x Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Chicago/Neutral Grey" was made back in 2018 and is just a sample. With that said, don't be too surprised if these actually get an official release as it's been known to happen. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High "Chicago Reimagined" now has a release date!
