There's no doubt that Virgil Abloh has had a massive influence over the sneaker industry over the past few years, and now, it looks like his vision has crept to Anaheim as Vans have just unveiled the Vans "Origami Pack". Comprising of two Eras and a Slip-On, this collection is inspired by abstract art.
First of all, the Eras have been given a conceptual rework that's unlike anything that we've seen before. While the classic shape is still retained, the main difference is the addition of a lace shroud, including one that's done up in a purple croc-style material and another that goes all-black with white stitching.
In terms of the Slip-On, it boasts a similar shroud but is decked out in the Californian skate brand's signature checkerboard pattern. Cut outs feature on each shoe for an even more abstract aesthetic, while the traditional vulcanised waffle outsole sit down below, finalising the designs.
Available now from Vans, the Vans "Origami Pack" is sure to turn heads this season. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your rotations, and in other sneaker news, the Supreme x Nike TN Air Max Plus is releasing later this year!
