If you ever needed another reason to never clean your shoes in the washing machine (trust us, it's a bad idea) then look no further than this sample pair from Jordan Brand and A Ma Maniére. The duo’s collaborative AJ1 dropped at the back end of 2021, but the new looks at the sneaker show us what could have been, with detailing on the pair calling back to a previous joint project that dropped in 2019.
Though it features the same ‘Hand Wash Cold” theme as AMM’s Air Force collab, the sample doesn’t stray too far from the duo’s final product, although “Burgundy Crush” hues seem to have been swapped out for black details. Here, the sample pair arrives with a textured leather construction, and more pronounced snakeskin elements than the final product, and comes finished with debossed cleaning icons stamped on the heel.
It's super unlikely that this pair will ever see a wider release, but would you like to see AMM return to the concept in future? Let us know, and in the meantime check out Jordan’s upcoming Retro line-up.
