New Balance's 2002R silhouette has gained incredible traction over the recent years, thanks to the stream of covetable collaborations and colourways like the fan-favourite "Protection Pack" that now fetches a high retail price in the secondary market. With that said, the Boston footwear giant has now revealed a new makeover of the New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack".
This time, we're taking a look at the retro pair dressed in white, unlike its spring-ready variants we've seen recently outfitted in bright gradients: pink, orange, navy, purple. Yue Wu's iconic deconstructed design that made the 2002R's "Protection Pack" style a massive hit is still present here.
Differentiating from the rest of the NB 2002R colourways is the faint black smudges and markings across the entire shoe, giving it a pre-worn aesthetic. Completing the design is classic NB branding details and a new gum rubber outsole that was not present on its predecessors.
