The Air Jordan 2 has been a firm focus for Jordan Brand this year, and as 2022 comes to a close that doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon. Having lent itself as a canvas for some cool and creative collabs over the past few months, the latest pairs to join the line-up take things back to basics. Relying on premium materials and a more minimalist make-up, the AJ2 is set to drop in two Craft versions, so here’s what to expect from the upcoming pairs.
The Air Jordan 2 Low Craft "Melon Tint" sees the low-top sneaker take on a super-clean two-toned appearance, with golden yellow accents popping against the creamy hue of the base. The forefoot, quarter panels and toe boxes all arrive in a smooth leather build, whilst the heels come dressed in soft suede. Finally, a cream-coloured sole unit comes finished with yellow details, adding to the shoe’s retro look and feel.
Arriving alongside it is the accompanying Air Jordan 2 Craft “Sunset Haze”. Once again, the retro model comes dressed in a predominantly neutral colour scheme, with a few premium touches. Supple, smooth leather makes up the majority of the base, while textured tan overlays add extra points of detail. Branding hits also arrive in the tan shade, with the Jordan Wings insignia sitting proudly at the top of the shoe’s tongue. Speckles of “Sunset Haze” and “Steel Grey” add final pops of detail to the muted colour scheme, making these some of the best AJ2s we’ve seen in a while.
Look for the pairs to release over the coming months, and be sure to set your release reminders for your best chance of copping when they drop. In the meantime, could this be Nigel Sylvester's next Air Jordan 1 collab?
