Talking about the release of the ICONS book, Abloh said: “The foundation of my practice isn’t nearly the end result — it’s rigor and process of the logic. The archive is the paper trail of those artifacts. The ICONS book is, in a way, the only revealing lens to understand that the catalogue of the 50-plus Nike shoes I have designed are in my mind ‘one shoe.’ One story.” Giving fans a window into the mind of Abloh, this book explores his original concepts and the evolution from ideation to production.

Landing first at a hand-picked selection of black-owned businesses, the ICONS book will be available on the SNKRS app on the 22nd January and will see a wider release on the 5th February.
