Varsity Jackets Inspire the Nike Dunk High University "Chenille Swoosh"

As we move into the summer seasons, red, white and green isn’t one of the colour combinations we’d expect to see too often, but this new Nike Dunk High appears to be an exception. Part of a wider “University” series, the Nike Dunk High University “Chenille Swoosh” takes its inspiration from college varsity jackets, so let’s take a look at the colourful pair.

Starting off with a crisp white leather base and working backward, the “Chenille Swoosh” University Dunk High sees the shoe’s overlays get taken over in red, gold and green – a stark contrast to the monochromatic Dunk Low from the same pack, which comes in all black. The titular Swoosh arrives in a bright red, and whilst it already pops against the white sidewalls, it’s highlighted by burgundy and gold trims that further reference the varsity themes.

To finish, the “Chenille Swoosh” University Dunk High features Nike branded tongue tabs, flat laces, and a white and dark gum sole unit, which allows the bright and bold colour scheme to take centre stage.
