Wales Bonner x adidas Celebrate the "Land of Wood and Water" for SS23

Those familiar with Grace Wales Bonner will know the English-Jamaican designer isn't one to shy away from embracing Afro-Atlantic spirit and heritage. With a collaborative history alongside adidas now stretching three years, Wales Bonner has injected culture into each effort and the upcoming "Land of Wood and Water" collection is much of the same.

You might have already seen previews of the new adidas Samba and SL 72 silhouettes floating around your favourite mood board, but now a fresh range of apparel has appeared out of the woodwork. Informed by the beautiful landscapes of Jamaica, the collection seeks to deliver an untamed sportswear aesthetic underlined by both adidas and Wales Bonner's design cues.

Tracksuits, knitted vests, tees, shorts and socks are all included in the mix, flaunting an array of summer-friendly hues. A knitted tracksuit arrives bearing black and yellow hues on its exterior mixed with a green inner, mimicking that of the Jamaican flag. Elsewhere, "Clear Mint" tints decorate a T-Shirt and shorts, while the sweater vest embraces the same hue backed up by a speckled red and washed black finish. The full adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Spring/Summer 2023 “Land of Wood and Water” collection will launch tomorrow, including all the footwear. It will be available via adidas Confirmed and other selected retailers, such as SNS, which has it live now.
