If you haven't heard of Weekday, or you're looking to make your first purchase, let us put you onto something. The Swedish-born brand is a subsidiary of the H&M Group, but think of them like the cooler little sister. Bringing quality basics and trending styles to the forefront, Weekday is the place to go for just about everything your wardrobe could ever need.

Aside from being known for their streetwear-friendly styles and affordable pieces, Weekday is also a great place to shop for denim. The brand has built up quite a reputation in the denim world thanks to its incredible range of styles, washes and fits, as well as its wallet-friendly prices. However, knowing exactly what sizes you should be shopping in any new brand can be difficult, so that's why we've put together this handy Weekday clothing and Weekday jeans size guide!

How does Weekday Clothing fit?

  • Fit - Weekday stocks a huge range of clothing so the fit will vary, however for the most part you should go with your true size to get the intended fit from the design.
  • Style - when it comes to styling Weekday, everything the brand releases will slot easily into any streetwear trends or vintage-inspired outfits.
  • Care - you should follow the wash instructions of each individual item carefully to make sure you get the most wear from your clothing.
  • Price - when it comes to price it's hard to beat Weekday. They have a huge range of items, most of which are very budget-friendly.

As with any retailer that stocks a huge variety of styles, fit can definitely vary from piece to piece. However, thanks to Weekday's roots in street style, a lot of the styles and fits tend to be on the baggier side. Weekday's core styles are heavily influenced by scandi cool-girl and streetwear vibes, so expect them to stay up to date with all the latest trends as well as provide everyday basics that will last.

In terms of quality, Weekday is pretty good for the price. A basic tank will set you back £8, and an oversized sweatshirt retails for £25. Jeans sit at around the £50 mark, which is pretty reasonable for denim. Of course, Weekday hasn't been around long enough for their jeans to be as sought after as vintage Levi's, but they're definitely a great option if you're on a budget, especially if you're planning on purchasing a pair that'll go along with trends.

How Does Weekday Denim Fit?

We weren't lying when we said that Weekday has a huge selection of women's jeans to choose from. Although it's great to have the choice, it can make shopping for the perfect pair of jeans particularly daunting. Don't fret though, if you're looking to try out a pair of Weekday jeans, we're here to help you find your perfect fit and jeans size.

Finding Your Style

Straight - Straight-fitting jeans are more of a traditional style, and feature a straight leg with no tapering. Straight-fitting jeans are pretty much always on trend, and suit just about anybody. For straight-fitting styles, it's usually worth sticking with your true size, but this may vary depending on where the waist sits. Weekday's straight-leg styles include their Rowe and Voyage jeans.

Mom - Mom jeans are a super-popular style and sit somewhere between a straight and wide fit, with more of a relaxed style, like Weekday's Lash jeans. They often feature a high waist, with a relaxed or taped leg. They do have a higher waist so size accordingly.

Skinny - We can't say we've worn skinny jeans in a while, but they definitely still have a place in fashion. Weekday's skinny style is called the Body jean, and unsurprisingly, is skin tight and fitted throughout. Of course, if you're looking to grab a pair it's worth considering that they will be tighter around the waist, as well as just about everywhere really.

Wide - Weekday also have a huge selection of wide jeans, which range from extra wide leg, wide relaxed leg, baggy throughout or flared. Baggier styles will usually will fit lower, so it's worth considering how this will sit on your body.

Finding Your Rise

Weekday also offers a variety of waist styles. Generally, you should stick to your true size irrespective of the rise, but it might be worth considering where your broadest measurements are, as you can then adjust the jeans accordingly.

High Waist - These will sit at the narrowest part of your waist, so are one of the most flattering waistlines. They are a bit more forgiving as they tend to pull you in a bit, but you may want to size up if you feel they're too tight around your stomach.

Medium Waist - These will sit around the middle of your waist, so the measurements are a little more difficult to get right. The overall style is quite forgiving but mid-rise jeans can be prone to problems around the back and gaping.

Low Waist/ Low Rise - For all the brave girls, low waists are back in this year. Easily the least forgiving of all jeans styles, getting the fit right is essential with these. For the most flattering fit, maybe size up in these, just not so much that they're at risk of falling down!

A key tip is to look for your jeans just to fit a little bit tight around the waist on your first wear, as they will stretch out with time.

Finding Your Leg Style

Lastly, there is also the leg style, which is how the jean will fit through the leg. This shouldn't impact your sizing too much but it's still good to understand so you get the perfect fit.

Straight - As the name suggests, this style will be straight throughout, and should basically just skim your legs. If you have wider thighs and still want a straight fit, consider sizing up and getting the waist taken in for the right fit throughout the leg.

Tapered - A tapered jean starts off with a wide or straight fit, and becomes slimmer towards the hem. You'll often find this on Mom jean or Balloon jean style fits.

Skinny - A skinny-fit jean will be fitted throughout the leg.

Wide - Wide-fit jeans tend to be baggy throughout, but the cuts may differ from being super straight and wide to having the option to turn up at the bottom.

Flared - Flared jeans feature a leg that flares out as the bottom. This means that they tend to be wider at the bottom than the top. They can range from being a wide 70s style flare to a much more subtle shape.

The leg length is also important to consider when shopping for Weekday jeans. Some styles will have a 28" inseam option, but most will start at 30". However, we have found that Weekday styles tend to fit a little shorter in the leg than other denim brands.

Is Weekday Denim Good Quality?

Weekday jeans are some of their best-selling styles, and the quality speaks for itself. The denim is good quality with the right amount of stretch, and Weekday is big on using organic cotton when they can. One of the biggest issues with jeans is that the denim may sag or stretch too much after excessive wear, but despite the price, Weekday jeans are built to last.

As well as this, Weekday denim comes in lots of different styles, so even if the fit isn't quite right on one pair, there are bound to be other pairs that will suit your body type and personal style.

Weekday Tops Sizing

How Do Weekday Tops Fit?

Weekday has a number of top styles in their basics range, which also comes in a range of different fits. The good thing about Weekday styles is that the fits are set out pretty clearly in the names of their clothes. Most styles are fitted unless they specify otherwise - relaxed and oversized styles are always pointed out in the names. When shopping for Weekday t-shirts or sweatshirts, be sure to get your true size as the fit is pretty spot on.

Are Weekday Tops Good Quality?

Weekday tops are generally decent quality and do tend to last a while, which is something you'll definitely want from your basics. Most tees are made from a soft cotton jersey or jersey rib fabric so you know they'll be comfortable.

How Do You Style Weekday Tops?

Styling Weekday t-shirts generally depends on the fit you go for. Throw on a fitted crop tee or vest with some cargos or wide-leg jeans, or style an oversized or boxier tee with something more fitted below. Because of the large range of styles, there are shapes to suit everyone - if you're petite you could opt for something more cropped, or if you're tall go for something oversized for a little more length.

Weekday Jackets Sizing

How Do Weekday Jackets Fit?

Now, where most Weekday styles fit true to size, their jackets actually seem to fit a bit oversized. Thanks to their Swedish heritage, we can only assume that this is because they are built for layering - so if you're looking to fit an oversize knit or multiple layers under your winter jacket, you're in luck. If not, you might be able to size down.

Are Weekday Jackets Good Quality?

As with other Weekday styles, the quality of Weekday jackets is usually pretty good. Although they won't be quite up to the standards of pricey competitors like The North Face, they are pretty much unbeatable for the price. And they don't just stop at puffers. Weekday also have a huge selection of wool coats, trench coats, bombers and denim jackets too, which are all good quality and purse-friendly.

How Do You Style Weekday Jackets?

Again, the huge range of styles means that Weekday jackets can be styled in endless ways. Try pairing an oversized trench or car coat with some athleisure staples like a sweater and leggings, or a wool jacket with some tailored trousers for a more put-together look.

All in all, Weekday is definitely the place to shop for cost-effective, good-quality basics - especially when it comes to tees, jackets and denim. Their huge range of styles means that there will easily be something to suit (and fit!) everyone, whether you're looking to shop trends or build up a classic capsule wardrobe. At TSS, we're particularly big fans of Weekday's straight-leg jeans - they are the perfect fit for pairing with all of our favourite style sneakers.

When shopping at Weekday, it's usually best to stick to your true size. Be sure to take notes of the fits of the tees and sweatshirts as shopping with this in mind will help to ensure the fit is exactly what you want. Shopping for jeans is a lot more personal, and you may have to try on a few styles to find your perfect fit. However, if you really do fall for a pair that isn't quite right, remember that jeans are one of the easiest styles of clothing to get tailored, and that way, the fit will be absolutely perfect.
