Reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Twist' Panda from 2019, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Diamond Black White honours the famous Jumpman apparel by seeing diamond branding adorn the top of the tongue. Following on from the Jordan 1 Low and toddler edition of this pair of Mids, we're ecstatic to see them unveiled in adults' sizing.
Dressed in a monochrome colour scheme, black nubuck constructs the Swoosh, toe cap, eyelets and ankle cushioning, whilst white leather takes over the ankle panelling, heel and midsole, creating a clean and crisp look. Michael Jordan's legendary Wings insignia is embossed into the ankle panelling in black, whilst the aforementioned diamond logo is intertwined with the Jumpman at the top of the tongue.
Underfoot, the outsole appears different from what we've seen before on a Jordan 1. Alike to the TD version of this sneaker, the outsole comes in a semi-translucent, milky-white colouring which sets it apart from other black-and-white Jordans on the market.
The colourway is an ideal match and an ode to Michael Jordan's time with the Birmingham Barons in Alabama, and the diamond detailing reminds us of those legendary Jumpman shorts that fans are still donning to this day. Despite the controversy around this mid-cut Jordan silhouette, they have really taken the world by storm this year, with colourway after colourway selling out in seconds. Gone are the days when Mids would sit on the shelf; they have made a name for themselves and are here to stay.
We're not yet aware of a release date for the monochromatic Air Jordan 1 Mid "Diamond", but click through to the product page using the links and make sure to turn on release reminders if you're wanting to cop.
