Yoon Ahn of AMBUSH is no stranger to the power of collaboration. Under AMBUSH, the designer has teamed up with the likes of BAPE, sacai, and Off-White, and she also designs jewellery for Dior. One of Yoon’s most successful collaborators though has to be Nike, and now Yoon has teased another joint effort with the Beaverton brand over on her Instagram, with what looks to be an AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force in the works.

Originally released in 1996, the Air Adjust Force is a basketball silhouette with some serious vintage appeal. Whilst the shoe proved popular back in the 90s, it's not yet seen a retro release, so trust Yoon to go back to dig into the Nike archives and resurrect a forgotten classic.
First teased on a trip to Nike’s HQ, the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force appears to take on a predominantly blacked-out colourway, with the shade covering both the upper and the midsoles. For contrast, Nike and AMBUSH branding hits are done-up in white, appearing at the toe, tongue and side panel. They also feature a removable strap that houses a black Nike Swoosh within a purple jelly side panel.
Underfoot, a visible air unit is sure to bring added cushioning and comfort, and elements of Grind Rubber in the sole shout out Nike’s Move to Zero sustainability efforts.
Whilst we’re dying to see more pictures of the AMBUSH x Air Adjust Force, we’ll have to make do with the Instagram images for now. In the meantime, be sure to keep it locked for more updates as soon as we get them.
Next, Nike team up with the NBA and WNBA for a basketball-themed Dunk.
