When we first caught a glimpse of the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Sail" all the way back in April, we knew straight away that these were going to be an absolute must-cop. After months and months of leaks and teasers, we're finally taking our best look yet at Virgil Abloh's latest AJ5, and we think it may just be his best Swoosh collaboration yet.
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @repgod888, the "Sail" features more-or-less the same construction as the "Black" from February but with a few very minor differences here and there. Crafted from a synthetic TPE material, it's dipped in a clean cream hue and accented with "Fire Red" throughout for a pop of contrast that's hard to forget. An oversized tongue features with a 3M coating, and this is adorned with a large Jumpman motif that sits loudly and proudly in the centre.
Moving down below, the P-51 fighter jet-inspired Nike Air midsole has been completely blacked out, and it wouldn't be an Off-White shoe without the deconstructed touches that we all know and love. From the technical verbiage on the medial side to the quoted text that's printed on the laces, you'll even find a series of circles that can infamously be cut-out for an insanely unique aesthetic.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 5 "Sail" at this moment in time, but rumour has it that they'll be dropping at the end of the year. Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair, and in related news, Virgil Abloh recently teased the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "White"!
