After taking a quick break from the Boston-based brand to design some out-of-this-world Crocs that have certainly put the classic clog back on the map, Salehe Bembury has reunited with New Balance ready for another exciting and outrageous sneaker to add to his extensive collection. Having designed two New Balance 2002Rs and countless iterations of the famous whistle-bearing 574 Yurt, the former Yeezy designer has now put his stamp on the New Balance 990v2. Taking to Instagram, he shared a clear picture of what the pair will look like. Keep reading to take a deep dive into the upcoming Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990v2 Orange/Purple.

Pictured, the New Balance 990v2 sits in front of a pretty, Parisian backdrop, showing off its sunset tones in all their glory. The ABSORB-cushioned midsole appears in a deep orange colouring, whilst underfoot we are treated to a wildly contrasting magenta hue. It all makes sense though: the large 'N' logo on the sidewalls sits in a similar purple tone, matching to the underlays at the front of the sneaker and 990 branding at the top of the tongue.
Bembury's signature shaggy suede appears in rosy tones across the upper, as well as the wide-hole mesh we saw on his other New Balance collaborations. This is one warming colourway that will look just as good in the spring and summer as it will the autumn. We can't wait to see further images of the pair!
