always x adidas Superstar ADV Core Black

London-based Skateboarding brand alwaysdowhatyoushoulddo is set up for a highly-anticipated collaboration with adidas in 2024. Announcing the project via a charming cartoon campaign video on Instagram, followed by a heartfelt video the week after, the two have come together to serve up a solid pair of skate shoes. The always x Superstar is the perfect debut from the skate collective and one that is certainly competing against other popular London projects.

Given the fact that ADWYSD is first and foremost a skateboarding brand, this edition lands with a sports specific ADV tooling, a difference that sponsored athletes such as Kader Sylla have been treated to. An extra puffy tongue takes inspiration from the Campus '00s tooling, with an always @sun logo printed on in a dark blue. It is also worth noting that these come with a spare set of black laces with green

What appears as a standard black and white make-up is spruced up with a dashes of neon accents, deep blues and even a 3M heel tab with a neon green Trefoil logo. A neon outline of New Zealand is also printed under the icy sole on the left foot, along with the brand's "tell your friends you love them" on the right. As a nod to the city that @Always is based out of, "London" is neatly tucked inside, as well as a "Mount Maunganui" which links the owner's two geographic backgrounds together. Playing into those different worlds are the sand-covered insoles that lets you keep your feet rooted to the beach while ripping through the city streets on your skateboard.

Having dropped on the adidas CONFIRMED as well as ADWYSD site on the 23rd of February, it looks like the secondary market is now the only place you will be able to go to grab these.
