The adidas ZX 8000 Kirschblütenallee Grey is part of a two-pack capsule collection that honours the longstanding relationship between the nations of Germany and Japan. Just after the fall of the Berlin wall, Japan raised 1 million euros and donated it to the city of Berlin by planting thousands of cherry blossom trees to rejuvenate the landscape.
To honour this selfless deed, the German label have designed two pairs of ZX 8000, with the grey colourway seen here. It’s designed to mirror the colour of cherry blossom trees when they reflect moonlight - a shining effect. The uppers are crafted from a mixture of technical mesh, synthetics and suede, with three stripe branding showcasing pale-pink hues. The Torison logo is embroidered onto the tongue, while special-edition lace locks read “Tokyo” and “Berlin”.
Underfoot, Torsion technology ensures the pair are just as flexible as they are well-built, also offering state of the art padding and support. The midsole and outsole adopt the same shade of pale blue for a considered look throughout the pair.
The adidas ZX 8000 Kirschblütenallee Grey One is set to launch via select retailers soon in limited numbers, so follow our list of approved stores below to make sure you get your hands on a pair.
