Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GT-2160 Black

Following a handful of collaborative models, Copenhagen-based designer Cecilie Bahnsen reunites with ASICS for a two-pack collection featuring the ASICS GT-2160. This new collaboration between the two brands, dubbed the “Winter Garden” pack, turns the iconic running shoe into Mary Jane-inspired shoes. The Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GT-2160 “Black” highlights patent leather panels atop a semi-transparent mesh base.

Former LVMH finalist Cecilie Bahnsen founded her namesake brand in 2015 and quickly gained attention in the fashion industry. This ASICS GT-2160 rendition features an all-black makeover constructed in a semi-transparent mesh upper with glossy floral prints. Inspired by Mary Jane shoes, this collaborative sneaker features shortened laces on the front with a floral patent leather midfoot strap that replaces the tongue. More patent leather panels make up the toe and heel overlays. Running shoe heritage remains in place, flaunting the signature ASICS stripes on the sides to keep the structure intact and shiny GEL technology in the heel for superior cushioning. The decoupled rubber outsole and TRUSSTIC midfoot shank round out this hybrid sneaker.
