London-based menswear designer Kiko Kostadinov is back for another ASICS collaboration featuring three colourways of the retro running trainer, the ASICS GT-2160. The three-pack collection pays tribute to a particular Kiko x ASICS joint venture in the past, the hybrid GEL-Burz 2 silhouette from 2018. This Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GT-2160 “Black” flaunts a quiet luxury approach with its titular shade encompassing the entire upper construction, departing from the usual loud and playful ensembles that resonate with the designer’s signature concepts.

Staying true to the trio of ASICS GEL-Burz 2 renditions in 2018, the collection consists of neutral-toned colour palettes like bronze, light grey, and black. This colourway has a blacked-out multilayer upper construction highlighting the signature ASICS stripes on the sides. The sleek proportions of the ASICS GT-2160 exude a premium look that resonates with the Japanese sportswear powerhouse’s elite running trainers from the early 2010s. Traditional GT-2160 branding adorns the lateral rear, while glossy GEL inserts bolster the heel midsole. The all-black rubber outsole caps off the stealthy makeover of this collaboration.
