Some collabs are bound for success and the one between Fear of God and Birkenstock is one of them. These minimalist Los Feliz slides in Ash Melange channel the American luxe label’s faible for laid-back yet elevated staples. The upper is made from melange-grey felt which extends halfway down the midsole. It’s rendered in a wrap-over silhouette with angular tips and a seamless finish. Cobranding comes in equally minimalist fashion via the smooth, moulded insole. Meanwhile, the inner side of each shoe is subtly stamped with Birkenstock wording. Underfoot, a rubber outsole introduces a hit of beige and is grooved with a swirly pattern for traction.
