Converse x MadeMe One Star Platform’s are releasing on May 24th in four colour ways and the yellow corduroy is the most eye catching of them all. The platform has elevated the usual silhouette of the One Star and delivered this contemporary collaboration.
Corduroy is very in at the moment and this trend is sweeping through the sneaker scene right now. Nike have just brought out a corduroy pack and Converse also collaborated with A$AP Nast last year to produce similar a similar style to these.
The inspiration for this style came from New York City culture in the 1990’s and were designed by the MadeMe’s founder, Erin Magee. The yellow corduroy upper rests on top of the platform sole that features the MadeMe logo. This outlined logo sits just on top of the yellow line detail on the back side of these One Star Platforms. Raised stars span across the toe section of the midsole for a subtle added branding.
The rest of the midsole’s detailing keeps to Converse’s classic look with a twist. A fresh white colouring contrasts with the bold upper alongside the stripe through the middle as Converse sneakers have always famously had.
