New Balance continues to thrive as high-heat pairs emerge frequently. While Teddy Santis keeps himself busy as New Balance Made in USA creative director, his Aimé Leon Dore brand continues to collaborate with other New Balance models. This Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R “White Black” joins the latest trio of ALD 650s, all flaunting consistent designs such as the gum rubber sole.

New York-based fashion label Aimé Leon Dore is only nine years old already cemented itself as a classic. Aside from the 550, the brand bestowed luxurious vintage designs on the New Balance 650. This basketball shoe from the 80s was the brand’s marquee sneaker, flaunting a crisp leather upper with perforations on the sides with classic N logos. The shoe also boasts a thick padded collar for enhanced lockdown and support. Following the success of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550, the 650R made its way back to the market in 2021. After the collaboration, New Balance rolled out general release colourways in larger quantities for nostalgia.

This colourway features a clean white leather upper with mesh fabrics on the cut-out N logos and collar. Black accents adorn the N outline, leather heel panel, lining, and minimalist heel counter. Signature sail white tones comprise the midsole, while the gum rubber sole completes the shoe.
