Teased in the Action Bronson and New Balance collection lookbook, the artist was photographed wearing yet another unreleased colourway of the 990v6. Ever since Bronson caught the eye of the footwear world by unveiling his New Balance 990v6 Baklava “Multi”, the New York-native has enjoyed goading sneakerheads with new colourways. This is only a first look at the “Yellow” iteration, however given his efforts on the “Multi” and “Blue” versions, it seems like Action Bronson really has a knack for colour palettes.
The pair is laced in the same pair of bright pink rope laces that come with the “Multi” edition that drops globally on the 24th of March. The tongue is also here in grey, as well as the rest of the 990’s underlying mesh. The sidewall “N” takes up its usual 3M tooling, a detail that Bronson himself admits to loving in his latest Sneaker Collection video with GQ. Embracing a selection of vibrant colours yet again, a bright yellow mudguard wraps around the upper, melding into the lighter shade of yellow on the midsole. There are also neon green accents on the upper eyelet and bottom lace branding that nod to his first “Multi” edition, suggesting each pair will recognise a library of colours, similar to what Sean Wotherspoon has managed to do on his collaborations since the Air Max 1/97.
Make sure to check back into The Sole Supplier where we can confirm whether or not this pair of Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 in “Yellow” will be receiving a public release and more importantly when!
