WTAPS x New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Grey

Tokyo-based fashion brand WTAPS teams up with New Balance for a classic take on the latest model in the 990X series, the New Balance 990v6. Greyscale colourways defined New Balance’s most iconic silhouettes, cementing the legacy of models like the NB 574, NB 990X series, and the NB 99X franchise. This WTAPS x New Balance 990v6 Made in the USA “Grey” celebrates the latter’s simple grey colour palette, highlighted by co-branded labels and patriotic USA branding.

Subtle, sophisticated, and straightforward. WTAPS lived by these design concepts inspired by military-style aesthetics. This third collaboration between WTAPS and New Balance is a tribute to NB’s ever-recognisable greyscale colour scheme. The shoe has a tonal grey mesh base with darker shades encompassing the suede and perforated leather overlays. Signature N logos adorn the sides, while embossed “USA” branding sits on the lateral rear panel. Co-branded WTAPS and New Balance logos appear on the sockliner and heel. The thick FuelCell foam midsole and wavy rubber outsole wrap up the design of this collaborative sneaker.
