Founder of KITH, Ronnie Fieg, paved his way into sneaker royalty during his unbeatable 2013/14 era of ASICS collaborations. Since then, the creative designer has seen new heights of success, not only through his own brand but also through new collaborative partnerships such as New Balance. Now Fieg returns to the Boston-based Footwear titans to bring us another beautiful pack to bless our feet with.
The NB993 is no stranger to sneakerheads at this point thanks to the likes of Aime Leon Dore and Salehe Bembury. Decked out in a “Pistachio Green”, the upper hosts a mixture of suede, leather and mesh. A thick, white flat lace nods to the silhouette’s vintage running roots and keeps it simple so that the rest of the shoe can do the talking. The New Balance branding is also kept to a minimum here with your staple “N” appearing in its standard 3M. A beige and white midsole provides the top-tier comfort below through the ABZORB cushioning system sneakerheads have grown to love. Inside, a plush lining hugs your foot and adds the extra comfort you need, making this look and feel like a premium release.
