The Air Jordan signature line has proven that you can’t ban greatness, time and time again. After going all out in celebrating the 40th anniversary of MJ’s debut basketball shoe in 2025, the brand's phenomenal run continues with another high-heat sneaker drop. This Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned” offers a timeless design inspired by the 2011 High version, marking another pivotal moment for the brand.
Also known as the “Bred”, this classic AJ1's black and red combination is as iconic as it gets. Crafted in premium leather, the shoe features an enlarged Swoosh on the sidewalls, replicating the original design from 1985. The “X” mark on the rear pays homage to the time when the NBA supposedly "banned" MJ’s Air Ship for violating the league’s uniform policy. Instead of abiding by the rules, Nike agreed to pay 5000 dollars every time the GOAT wore the colourway and used the story as leverage to market the AJ1 High. The traditional Nike Air adorns the nylon tongue and sockliner, while the Jordan Wings logo decorates the back panel. An encapsulated Air unit in the heel provides sufficient cushioning, which reduces impact at every step. The solid rubber cupsole delivers exceptional traction thanks to its pivot circles and thick flex grooves.
Set to release on the Nike SNKRS app and select UK retailers, you can find out where to buy the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
