A Ma Maniére unveils its collaborative take on the Air Jordan 17 Low featuring two head-turning colourways. This premium basketball model is back in the limelight following a brief hiatus, headlined by the comeback of the “Lightning” iteration, which MJ wore during the 2002 NBA All-Star Game. Dropping alongside the “Beach” rendition, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 17 Low “Cabin” presents an outdoor-inspired adaptation commemorating the premier Atlanta-based boutique’s upcoming flagship location in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
This AJ17 deviates from its summer-ready counterpart, incorporating a discreet makeover with its grey leather upper. A black stretchy sleeve offers a sock-like fit, essential for keeping players locked in throughout the game. Metallic lace holes usher in a luxurious feel, accompanied by patterned perforations mimicking the harmony of jazz music. A rigid TPU heel counter showcases the signature Jumpman logo and chrome “Jordan” titling on the lateral panel, a nod to one of the sports’ most iconic symbols referencing MJ’s aerial ability on the court. Co-branded logos embellish the sockliners, embracing the two brands’ long-standing partnership. A blow-moulded Air unit sits on the heel, complementing the Zoom unit in the forefoot for a springy yet supportive sensation. Herringbone rubber pods form the outsole, paying homage to Michael’s love for golf, his favourite sport behind basketball and baseball.
