Air Jordan 5 SE Sail

It's no secret that the Air Jordan 5 SE “Sail” has stiff competition competing against other top-tier OG make-ups and similarly neutral hues from the past. Previous drops such as the Off-White "Sail" sets high expectations for the silhouette, especially for a Special Edition version like this Jordan 5 "Sail". Although it’s been a while since we’ve seen an original colourway of the '90s basketball shoe, fresh takes on Hatfield's design are always welcomed by both OGs and new sneakerheads.

This AJ5 "Sail" colourway boasts a cream white suede upper with milky hued netting that matches the semi-translucent finish on the outsole below. The iconic Jumpman logos adorn the extra padded tongue, here with an almost jaquard-like texture and exposed foam finish that is an added touch. Further branding can be found on the lace lock and sockliners, an ever-recognisable symbol paying homage to the GOAT’s ability to “take flight”. The silhouette's signature fighter plane 'shark teeth' decorate the outer forefoot once again, here in a black and white speckled finish to match the rest of the shoe's palette. Visible Air on the heel offers comfort and impact protection, propped up by a milky white translucent outsole that features herringbone traction patterns. Due to this being a new colourway, there is no "Nike Air" branding on the heel, a simple black embroidered Jumpman taking its place instead.

These arrive in the new Flight Club labelled Jordan 5 box, with a white and black splatter print to decorate the hinge lid box. There are no extra sets of laces with this pair, although lacing these up with some black flat laces could be a good move. Tag us in any photos if you do end up testing out that lace option!
