The Jordan 5 Alternate Bel-Air pays homage to the classic 1990s TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air featuring the legendary Will Smith, who was often pictured on screen in early episodes wearing Air Jordans. It’s safe to say that the show opened up Jordan Brand to a whole new scene, with fans of the show instantly rushing out to get their hands on the latest releases. The shoes are crafted from a neat blend of supple suede and mesh, with cool grey being the base colour containing the vibrant colors. Accents of blue, purple and yellow break up the design, showcasing the same vibrant and funky aesthetic seen throughout the iconic TV show. Classic AJ5 features such as the lace locks and mesh panels down each side are present as ever for a retro feel, while MJ’s signature number 23 is embroidered neatly onto the lateral heel.
A purple midsole reminiscent of the alternate grape remains underfoot, detailed with multi-colour and translucent inserts, in typical fashion for the AJ5. Visible Nike Air technology is present at the heel, ensuring that these are more than comfortable enough for everyday wear.
