Air Jordan 6 Aqua

Another rumoured holiday release has surfaced suggesting a possible Air Jordan 6 “Aqua” makeover. The colourway originally gained its notoriety among Jordan fans on the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua”, a shoe that some may argue should exist on the top 10 Jordans of all-time list. While this edition of the Air Jordan 6 plays homage to that particular AJ8, it is also a nod to the Charlotte Hornets, an NBA team that Michael Jordan has a majority stake ownership of since 2010.

This release is similar to the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” in terms of its colour blocking, with a majority black suede upper littered with coloured accents. The lower half is where the reference becomes clear, an electric blue and deep purple mixing together on the AJ6’s traditional midsole, foregoing the abstract paint strokes seen on the AJ8 version. The lace lock has also been given the contrasting makeup, while the Jumpman logo and heel arch is doused in a purple.

Supposedly dropping on October 6th, the Air Jordan 6 “Aqua” is lined up to hit the shelves just before the holiday season, so in the meantime, keep it tuned to The Sole Supplier for further updates!
