Nike Air Max 1 Deep Royal Blue

This Air Max 1 from Nike is simple in its approach, combining classic hues and colour blocking that make for a versatile pair. Last year saw the silhouette celebrate its 35th Anniversary with a host of fun retro colourways, with this general release “Deep Royal Blue” pair taking a more toned-down approach.

“Royal Blue” is a well-respected colourway amongst sneakerheads, especially when it comes to the Air Max 1, rivalling the likes of the “Anniversary Red” shade which is seldom used. The mudguard panelling, tongue piping and inside lining are all doused in deep blue, while the Swoosh and Air unit opts for a darker black. The iconic sole from ’87 is painted in a traditional white that complements the mesh panelling on the toe box and ankle collar. Nike branding on the tongue label and heel is also applied in black, matching the binary motif decorating the tread pattern below.
