Nike Air Max 1 PRM Wabi-Sabi

The Tinker Hatfield-designed Nike Air Max is celebrating its 35th-anniversary. The Nike Air Max Day 35th Anniversary is the perfect shoe to toast the silhouette’s long history of design innovation.

Alternately called the “Wabi Sabi”, this Nike Air Max model reflects the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of appreciating flawed beauty, impermanence and a state of incompleteness.The vintage-looking pair displays earth-toned suede panels with exposed stitching in contrasting white, complementing the white canvas base. Additionally, commemorative “XXXV” stitching can be found on the lateral heel and the text “3.26” adorns the tongue tab. A Sail-coloured midsole with cracked lines all over it displays an exposed Air unit. A worn-out-looking gum outsole completes this special-edition shoe.
