Paying homage to Tinker Hatfield’s original sketch from 1987, this shoe takes sneakerheads all the way back to the beginning of what is possibly the most iconic sneaker in history, and you do not want to miss out!
As if someone popped the American designer’s doodle into a 3D printer and printed it out, this AM1 is literally a direct translation from paper to real life. Arriving in the iconic ‘University Red’ colourway that changed the game back in the ’80s, this has been roughly coloured on in a marker like fashion.
Design footnotes also make their presence known, with “PATTERN SPLIT” arriving on the laterals and “BIG WINDOW” denoting the visible Air unit that made the AM1 the legend it is today. To round it all off, additional sketching can be found at the outsole, which is finished off with a clear translucent rubber for a look that’s sure to turn heads.
