Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Night Maroon

Amsterdam-based Patta is one of the biggest brands in the streetwear scene, and a frequent collaborator within the world of footwear. Joining forces with Nike towards the end of 2021, the duo reworked the Swoosh brand's iconic 1987 Air Max 1 silhouette for a collection called "The Wave." The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Night Maroon" is the third colourway from the collection, so here's a closer look at the pair.

Whilst the two previous "Wave" AM1s worked on top of a white base, the "Night Maroon" colourway sees the sneaker's mesh upper come in a silver shade. Glossy maroon leather wraps its way around the toecap, eyestays, heel, and of course the wave-shaped mudguards, and a matching leather Nike Swoosh comes outlined in silver. Pops of bright orange peek out from the upper eyelets, sockliners and Nike Air heel branding, and a vintage-looking "Sail" and brown sole unit sits underfoot. Finally, co-branded tongue tabs and a silver mini Swoosh at the forefoot bring the collab to a close.
