Nike Air Max 90 Gore-Tex Black Orange

The Nike Air Max 90 in all-black is a shoe for everyone. Its iconic silhouette and simple colour scheme lend themselves to any reason you can think of, from a night out in town to your weekly shop, no one is too good for an all-black Air Max 90. Now the most practical Air Max has been made even more practical, thanks to the Swoosh teaming up with the people over at GORE-TEX.

Having seen a whole range of winterised Air Max 90s over the years, this collab with the waterproof kings at Gore are “guaranteed to keep you dry”. The mesh toe box has been swapped out for supple leather, along with the heel collar that adopts a rugged rip-stop canvas. Co-branding can be spotted on the tongue, a simple GORE-TEX spell-out logo in dark grey stitching that blends itself within the rough canvas and a small Diamond Logo sat by its side. Another GORE-TEX logo has been applied on the TPU orange grid that’s embedded into the leather mudguard, replacing the usual Air Max branding that we find on the outside of the shoe. The only other hit of orange is found on the heel of the shoe, giving the “AIR” branding an extra bit of pop. The blacked-out upper is tastefully detailed with colour on this pair, giving the shoe a real functional as well as tough aesthetic.
