Fans of the Air Max 90 are going to appreciate this potential collectable. While it shows similarities to the iconic ‘What The’ range, this is actually a homage of ‘Afro Punk’ alternative music. This mash-up of two entirely different genres comes together to create something special.
As with that premise, Nike reveal an Air Max 90 which combines two eye-catching style cues: blue washed denim with vibrant Aztec print overlays. Those splashes of colour hit the piping around the shoe as well as the mudguard overlay and swoosh.
Darker hits of black manage to balance the otherwise eye-popping theme, as does the off-white midsole underfoot. A tonal coloured Air Unit compliments while a gum outsole is a subtle nod to vintage design elements.
