Patta x Nike Air Max 90 Waves Cyber

After closing the chapter on their beloved Air Max 1 Wave series in 2022, Patta returns with a bold new statement, this time bringing the wave to the Air Max 90. The Patta x Nike Air Max 90 Wave "Grey Volt" sees the Amsterdam label take on a new canvas, reviving their wavy mudguard motif in a silhouette long associated with British streetwear legacy.

With a colour palette that immediately evokes the OG Neon Air Max 95 more than any classic AM90, this pair blends volt yellow with black overlays and grey mesh for a look that feels both familiar and entirely new. The glossy silver Swoosh and matching dark silver mesh add depth to the upper, while a sail midsole and laces balance the neon accents with a vintage finish. Patta’s signature branding lands on the midsole cassette, a subtle flex for those in the know.

This is not Patta’s first time flirting with the Air Max 90. Their 2019 Nike By You project hinted at a 90 and 95 crossover love affair, and this release feels like the follow up no one saw coming. Whether the wave detailing fits the lines of the Air Max 90 as naturally as it did on the 1 is up for debate, but one thing is certain, Air Max heads will be watching closely.
