PHANTACI x Nike Air Max 95 Sanddrift

Jay Chou’s PHANTACI draws inspiration from musical instruments in its all-new Air Max 95 collaboration with Nike Sportswear. This latest project by the Taipei-based lifestyle brand coincides with the iconic silhouette’s 30th anniversary in 2025, joining other banger styles and highly coveted colourways in the lineup. Nodding to the guitar’s design and musical vibe, this earth-toned PHANTACI x Nike Air Max 95 “Sanddrift” is a worthy follow-up to the AM1 “Grand Piano”.

This AM95 features wood grain textures throughout the brown gradient upper panels, incorporating mixed materials for a premium finish. Replicating guitar strings, the traditional nylon eyelets have been replaced with externally looped cables on the sidewalls reminiscent of the Beaverton sportswear giant’s Flyknit technology. A subtle Swoosh adorns the lateral rear section, complementing the embedded Air Max pill logo on the tongue and the usual Nike branding on the back and sockliner. The beige polyurethane midsole encases the Big Bubble in the heel and the visible Max Air unit in the forefoot for maximum cushioning and impact protection. The PHANTACI label decorates the TPU shank plate underfoot, surrounded by a blacked-out waffle rubber sole. This rendition includes special-edition guitar pick and capo hang tags as a nod to the theme.
