Nike Air Max 97 Futura Beige White

Apart from being big in Italy, did you know that the Air Max 97 was also a favourite of Sporty Spice, Melanie Chrisholm, of the Spice Girls? The shoe was really an icon of its time. Take a closer look at one of the latest variations of the Christian Tresser-designed running silhouette, the Nike Air Max 97 Futura “Beige White”.

This AM97 has a breathable white mesh base peeking out of the toe box and mid-panels. The leather, suede and synthetic layers that make up the rest of the shoe’s rippled design are in varying shades of beige. The mesh tongue, the eye stay panels and the mesh sock liner are all in beige as well. The embroidered signature profile mini Swooshes on the flanks are in white, matching the laces and the suede tongue pull tabs. A white midsole with a full-length exposed Air unit and an icy white semi-translucent rubber outsole finish off the entire ensemble.
