Nike Air Max 97 Gold Bullet

When it comes to iconic colourways, you'd be hard pressed to find one as legendary as the Nike Air Max 97 Gold Bullet. An offshoot of Christian Tresser's "Silver Bullet" which was introduced 25 years ago, the "Gold Bullet" shot into the sneakersphere just two years later. Last seen in 2017, the mythical sneaker will be returning once again in 2023, so if you didn't manage to secure your size a few years back then you need to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier's dedicated page!

Inspired by water ripples, the Gold Bullet features an all-leather construction that's finished with a metallic sheen. Dipped in a luxurious all-gold hue, the wavy panels glide up and down, meeting around the toebox and heel. A nylon tongue makes these even more versatile, while pull tabs on the tongue and back makes taking these on and off as convenient as possible. A crisp white Air midsole sits underneath the Air Max 97 for an insane amount of comfort with every step, and this is finished off with a striking "Varsity Red" Nike Swoosh that adds a pop of contrast to the mix.

The Nike Air Max 97 Metallic Gold has managed to secure its own spin-offs over the past few years, including a gold-dipped pair for Cristiano Ronaldo and one decked out entirely in Swarovski crystals. Returning in January 2023 alongside its women's and Grade School equivalents, this is a trainer that every sneakerhead should own.
